Samuel Franklin "Samm" Levine (born March 12, 1982) is an American television and film actor. He is known for his portrayal of Neal Schweiber on NBC's short-lived Freaks and Geeks and PFC Hirschberg in the hit 2009 film Inglourious Basterds.
In addition, Levine has guest-starred on Spin City, Boston Public, Yes, Dear, Undeclared, The Drew Carey Show, That's So Raven, That '70s Show, Just Shoot Me!, How I Met Your Mother, My Name Is Earl, Entourage, Veronica Mars and Family Guy. His film credits include Not Another Teen Movie, Club Dread, Pulse, Anderson's Cross, and Sydney White. He is a regular guest on Kevin Pollak's Chat Show.
Levine was born in Chicago, Illinois, but raised in Fort Lee, New Jersey.[1] His father is a dentist (just like the father of his character, Neal Schweiber, in Freaks and Geeks).[2] Levine is the youngest member of the New York Friars' Club. He added an extra 'M' to his name because his actors guild already had a listing for a 'Sam Levine'.
Levine has been cast as a character in the final season of ABC's Lost only as a small role that was written for him by the Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof. Lindelof has apparently for the last six years been going, 'I'm going to write you something on the show'.[citation needed]
