In 1993, launched Khana Khazana, a cookery show for Zee TV, that has gone on to become the most successful cookery show from India with an estimated viewership of over 500 million people in about 167 countries. Khana Khazana is over 800 episodes old – a record breaking feat in the Indian culinary visual media. Such is the trust the show has generated among the viewers that we get requests through mail from newly engaged girls asking for their photographs to be shown on the show because that would help them impress their in-laws-to-be.
