Santiago Morero (born 18 April, 1982) is an Argentine football defender currently playing for Chievo.

Morero started his playing career with Club Atlético Douglas Haig in 2003, where he played in the regionalised Argentine 3rd division.

In 2005 Morero joined Tigre, in 2007 the club were promoted to the Argentine Primera. The Apertura 2007 was Tigre's first season in the Primera since 1980, and Morero's first taste of top flight football. Morero was a key member of the first team, playing in nearly all of Tigre's games. The club finished in 2nd place which was the highest league finish in their history.

In September 2008, he was signed by Chievo,[1] in although he played a few friendlies for Udinese, Morero unable to sign as the club run out of non-EU registration quota.

On the 15th December of 2008 he played his first Serie A match against Inter Milan.

In summer 2009 he signed a new 4-year contract.[2]
