Sarah Ann Stickler was born 28 December 1856 in Pucklechurch, Bristol to Charles Stickler (1832-1891) and Sarah Everett (1834-1912) and died circa 1922 in London, at the age of 65 years of unspecified causes. Sarah Ann married Alfred Jackson 1879 in Hampshire. Sarah Anne born in Pucklechurch 1856 worked in her teens as a servant in the household of John D.Ridles of Pucklechurch. Later, she married Alfred Henry Jackson, a bombardier in the British army and they had seven children, five sons and two daughters.
Their first two children were born at Aldershot and, Alfred Jackson, there first child, born in 1880, was baptized at the Aldershot Garrison, Hampshire where his father was stationed.
Their third child, Catherine Sarah Jackson, was born in Ireland were her father ‘Alfred Henry Jackson was born in 1851. In 1891, the Jacksons were living at 6 Bonveriet, Paddington, London where the rest of their children were born and where 'Emily Elizabeth', their sixth child died in infancy. Then in about 1911 they moved to Edgeware Road, London. it is reported that Sarah Anne introduced her younger brother, John James Stickler, to Ellen Clerke of London whom John later married.
Alfred Henry by this time was working as a Hospital Porter at Paddington Green, London. He was also an alcoholic who eventually became a drunkard. During one of his inebriated periods he fell into a vat of acid and died. He was buried at Paddington Green, Paddington Hospital, at Harold Road near the Paddington Town. His tragic and untimely death at age 59 left Sarah Ann with six fatherless children to raise and care for.
Sarah died in London circa 1922.

Edith was the seventh child of Alfred Henry Jackson and Sarah Anne Stickler was born 1 August 1897 in Paddington, London. She married a Mr. Parsons and had five children; Sybil, Leslie, Ken, Alan, and Doris. Two of the five children are known to have immigrated to Canada.
