In 1945, China from April to August 2, 3 front in Guangxi Province, launched a counter offensive to retake the remaining land in South China still held by the Japanese.After the Chinese retook Guangxi, they had planned to launch another counter offensive to liberate Shanghai and the east coast. However when American atomic bomb hit Japan , Japan surrendered, and the 8 year long war had finally come to an end.
