This is used by Government bodies and Not for Profit Organisations to aid the hiring of employees.

STAR model

STAR: Situation, Task, Actions & Results.

This model helps to construct sentences to meet the set selection criteria.[1]

  • Situation - Set the context by describing the circumstance where you used the skills or qualities and gained the experience.
  • Task - What was your role is completing this task
  • Actions - What you did and how you did it.
  • Results - What did you achieved. Relate this to the position you are appliying for.

Technical Interviews

Job interviews for high-tech companies are conducted in a variety of ways, giving them a unique characteristics. Interview questions could range from solving puzzles, to specifics of a system -- knowledge one can only obtain after years of problem solving. Due to the wide spectrum of technology, every company adapts itself to judge applicants based on general skills as well as specialization
