Sergio Alejandro Santana Piedra (born August 10, 1979 in Progreso Rio GrandeZacatecas) is a Mexican Footballer currently playing for Rayados de Monterrey.

Sergio debuted in the Primera División de México with C.F. Pachuca in May 7, 2000 in a match against Toluca. Sergio played with C.F. Pachuca for close to five years, from 2000-2005. He was transferred to Chivas de Guadalajara for the Clausura 2006 Tournament at the end of 2005. Sergio is known as a utility player for Chivas, he is a very versatile player, playing as a Forward, Striker, Center Attacking Midfielder, and even as a Defensive Midfielder on some occasions.

Santana was called for his services in the Mexican national team in a game against China on April 16, 2008 making his 7th appearance since Ricardo LaVolpe called him for El Tri. Recently Santana has stated his desire to leave Chivas since the arrival of Carlos Ochoa. On December 19, it was announced that he would go to Deportivo Toluca F.C.

Sergio Santana marked his debut with Toluca scoring a goal against Monarcas Morelia. The match ended in a draw at a goal each.

On June 17, 2009 during the Mexican Football Draft in Cancun, the Football Club Monterrey announced that Sergio Santana was the new player of the northern Mexican squad.
