Shawn Robinson was a female vocalist from the 70's, associated with the Northern Soul musical movement, and whose voice was often used for Piero Piccioni's soundtracks on Italian B movies.
Very few, if none, information is known today about this singer, whose very few recorded songs have nonetheless gathered a devoted core of fans.

My Dear Heart (Staunton, Webster) (1965), originally released on Minit Records [Minit 32013] in the US (b-side : "Find Love Right Now") and on Stardust [urs148]. It is included on various CD compilations like "101 Northern Soul Anthems" [EMI Operations/CEVA Logistics], in "Goldmine Soul Supply Volume 3 - Big City Soul (Volume 1)" [Flac], and in "Talcum Soul vol. 2" [EMI/Stateside, cat. number 7243 5 26036 2 6 ]. Pattie Brooks made an unofficial –lyrics were changed – disco cover for this song with "After Dark", included on the Thank God It's Friday OST (1978)
