From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Short shackling is a technique used to restrain individuals.

The suspect's hands are shackled to an eyebolt in the floor, so that the suspect is forced to lie in a fetal position or squat.[1].

This torture technique can cause flesh wounds (primarily of the wrists) and/or scarring from the tension on the shackles.
