Shorthampton is a hamlet in Chilson civil parish about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of Charlbury.
The small Church of England parish church of All Saints is Norman, with box pews that were added in the 18th century.[1] The church contains several Mediaeval murals, including a rare one of the "Miracle of the Clay Birds"[2] from the apocryphal Gospel of Nicodemus and another of Saint Zita[3]. All Saints belongs to the Benefice of Charlbury with Shorthampton. Most services are now held at the parish church of St Mary the Virgin, Charlbury.[4]
