Sidhanta Mahapatra (born: 24 December) is one of the most popular Ollywood and Tollywood Bangla stars in the state of Orissa in India. Sidhanta Mahapatra made his debut in films with Sradhanjali. [1]

Life and career

He was toiling at the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), New Delhi to get his degree in business management, little did he know that once he went back to Orissa he would end up being an actor in the Oriya film industry! Meet Siddhant Mohapatra, the reigning Badshah of Ollywood. His first break came in 1993 at the age of 23 years when he did an Oriya film to keep a request of his cousin brother. He acted more than 150 films. The film Shradhanjali starred Lekha Nanda in the female lead.[2]

Political career

Siddhanta Mahapatra joined Biju Janata Dal in 2009 and contested as MP from Berhampur constituency in the 2009 "15th Lok Sabha" Election. He won the election and now the Member of Parliament for Berhampur constituency.[3][4][5][6]
