Transylvanian Saxon language (Saxon: Siebenbürgisch, or Siebenbürgersächsisch, Hungarian: Erdélyi szász nyelv, German: Siebenbörgerächsisch or Siebenbürgersächsische Sprache, Romanian: Limba săsească) is the language of the Transylvanian Saxons. The Transylvanian Saxon a autonomous dialect of High German. Transylvanian Saxon is spoken in Romania in Transylvania by persons of mainly Western German origin. Most speakers have emigrated to Western Germany.
