Sione Pouha (born February 3, 1979) is an American football defensive lineman for the National Football League New York Jets. Pouha played college football at the University of Utah. He also is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

High school career

Pouha attended East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he was a two-year first-team all-region player and captained East High's state championship team in 1996. He earned USA Today honorable mention All-American honors as senior in 1996 and was a Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune first-team all-state selection.

College career

In his senior season at the University of Utah, Pouha earned All-Mountain West Conference first-team honors and was named USA Today All-America honorable mention after starting 10 games, recording 36 tackles, four PDs and one INT, and helped lead the Utes to the 2005 Fiesta Bowl.

2009 NFL Season

Sione went into the 2009 season a back up defensive tackle. But as they went into the season, the starting defensive tackle Kris Jenkins got injured and from then on Pouha has done a good job filling in for such a big loss on the Jets defense.
