Siping (Chinese: 四平pinyin: Sìpíng), formerly Ssupingkai (Chinese: 四平街pinyin: Sìpíngjiē), is a prefecture-level city in Jilin province in Northeast China.

The city's total area of 14,080 square km and a total population of 3,300,000, of which the urban area of 407 sq km, urban population 430,000.

Siping (Chinese: 四平; pinyin: Sìpíng), formerly Ssupingkai (Chinese: 四平街; pinyin: Sìpíngjiē), is a city in Jilin province in Northeast China. The percentage of Han Chinese is at 91%, and there are Manchu, Mongolian and Korean minorities.

Siping is the seat of an apostolic Vicariate of the Roman Catholic Church. It was the site of several major battle during the Chinese civil war from 1945-49.

Geography
