SmartWings is a low-cost airline based in Prague, Czech Republic. It operates services to several European destinations.

History

The airline was established and started operations in 2004 and is wholly owned by the Czech airline Travel Service, a 66% subsidiary of Icelandair Group.

SmartWings adopted the IATA code of the now defunct slovakian airline Tatra Airlines, which operated from 1991 to 1998.
