The Southeast Division is one of the three divisions in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. It was formed in 2004 due to expansion. After the creation of the Charlotte Bobcats, the Atlanta Hawks joined from the Central Division, while the Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards all came from the Atlantic Division, to make up the Southeast Division.
