The Southern Daily Echo, commonly known as the Daily Echo or simply The Echo, is a local newspaper that covers the area of south-central Hampshire, England, including the city of Southampton. It is owned by Newsquest, the second largest publisher of local newspapers in the United Kingdom.

It was first published in August 1888 and celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2008. It is published from Monday to Saturday. There is one edition a day; Thursday and Saturday are Job days, where all local job vacancies can be advertised.

On Saturdays a publication called The Sports Pink is also sold. This is used for the reporting and discussion of sporting stories regularly involving local sports team Southampton Football Club.

Local sister publications include the Hampshire Chronicle, Lymington Times and Romsey Advertiser.

The newspaper's main offices are in the Redbridge area of Southampton, with district offices in Eastleigh, Winchester and Lymington. The former offices of the Daily Echo are now the site of the Above Bar entrance to the WestQuay Shopping Centre. The current editor is Ian Murray.

The Southern Daily Echo was named Newspaper of the Year 2009 at the EDF Energy South East and London Media Awards.
