Space Ark is a single/multi player arcade video game developed by independent software developer Strawdog Studios for the Microsoft Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) and PC. The game was officially announced in May 2009 (release date TBC).

Space Ark is a fun homage to the bright and bouncy arcade games of the late 80s such as Rainbow Island and Arkanoid, with an added mix of Pinball.

A wandering black hole has passed through the galaxy destroying planets and leaving others damaged and desolate in its wake. The Arkonauts - a team of space travelling animals - have been dispatched in their Space Ark to repair the damaged worlds so that their refugee inhabitants can return. The player must aid the Arkonauts in their quest by bouncing them into the air using a bounce pad, which can be moved left and right across the bottom of the screen. By bouncing the Arkonaut into the air the player can collect DNA (which helps to repair the planets) as well as collecting bonuses and power-ups.

Each planet is divided into multiple parts (levels). When the player collects all the DNA the environment will return to a liveable state and plants will return. Once all the parts of a planet have been repaired the planet will reform and the inhabitants can return. This will open up new planets which the Arkonauts can visit.

Game features

180 levels (spread across 5 worlds),
