Bottle of Sprite Zero.

Sprite Zero is a clear, lemon-lime-flavored low-calorie beverage produced by the Coca-Cola Company. This sugar-free drink originally began production as "Sugar Free Sprite" in 1974. In other countries, it is known as "Sprite Light." In September 2004, it was re-released with a modified recipe and renamed "Sprite Zero" in Canada and the United States. In the summer of 2006, with the debut of the new packaging in the United States, "diet" was dropped from the name in that country. "Sprite Light" was re-branded as "Sprite Z" for a brief period in the UK[1], before being rebranded as "Sprite Zero" in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Europe, Australia, South Africa and New Zealand.

In its North American formulation, one 355-ml can of Sprite Zero contains 75 mg of aspartame and 50 mg of acesulfame potassium, which are artificial sweeteners.
