Stéphane Sednaoui (born in Paris, France) is a French-American photographer and director.

Career

Sednaoui achieved success as a journalist, fashion and advertising photographer before his photographs of entertainment celebrities brought him further attention in the 1990s. Among his subjects are Björk, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Liv Tyler, Courtney Love, Salma Hayek, Shu Qi, Robert Mitchum and Javier Bardem. From the 1990s he also directed music videos for artists like the Red Hot Chili Peppers (Give It Away), Björk (Big_Time_Sensuality), Youssou N'Dour et Neneh Cherry, Tricky, Madonna and U2..

A compilation of Sednaoui's music videos and short films, the Directors Label "Work of Director: Stephane Sednaoui" was released on DVD in September 2005.
