Stephen Booth is an English crime-writer, born in 1952 in Burnley, Lancashire, UK. He is the author of the popular Derbyshire-set Cooper and Fry series. For over 25 years, he was a journalist for various newspapers and magazines, but he gave this up in 2001 to be a full-time novelist. He currently lives in Nottinghamshire.


The books follow two young Derbyshire police detectives, Ben Cooper and Diane Fry, as they try to solve various murders.

  5. One Last Breath (2004)
  6. The Dead Place (2005)
