The Swiss intelligence agencies are governmental agencies devoted to information gathering for the national security and defense of Switzerland.

Strategic Intelligence Service

The Strategic Intelligence Service (German: Strategischer Nachrichtendienst) is the foreign intelligence agency. It is under the authority of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports and is not permitted to engage in domestic espionage.

Service for Analysis and Prevention

The Service for Analysis and Prevention (German: Dienst für Analyse und Prävention) is the domestic intelligence agency. It is since the 1 January 2009 under the authority of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sports.

Military Intelligence Service

The Military Intelligence Service (German: Militärischer Nachrichtendienst) is the military intelligence branch of the Armed Forces.

Air Force Intelligence Section

The Air Force Intelligence Section (German: Luftwaffennachrichtendienst) is the intelligence agency of the Air Force.

Postal Service and Telecommunications Surveillance

The Postal Service and Telecommunications Surveillance (German: Überwachung Post- und Fernmeldeverkehr) is a service within the Federal Department of Justice and Police (since 1 January 2008) charged with coordinating wiretapping requests of the criminal investigation authorities.

The Strategischer Nachrichtendienst (Strategic Intelligence Service, SND) is the Swiss foreign intelligence agency. It is under the authority of the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport and is not permitted to engage in domestic espionage.

The domestic equivalent is the Dienst für Analyse und Prävention (DAP).
