Sura (English: Shark) is a forthcoming Tamil film to be written and directed by S. P. Rajakumar and produced by Sangili Murugan. Confirmed stars of the film include Vijay and Tamanna Bhatia. The film was previously titled as Urimai Kural. The film, upon release, shall be Vijay's 50th film.[2] The film was recently purchased by Sun Pictures for distribution rights.[3]




The shooting of the movie commenced in Kerala in November 2009 and was continued in different places in Tamilnadu like Marakkanam Villupuram, Mamallapuram, Thoothukudi and Chennai and in Puducherry as well. During one of the shoots, Vijay hosted lunch for fishermen folks in the coastal area from Chennai to Puducherry.[4].

During the shoot of the movie in Puducherry a difference in opinion between the director and the Cameraman resulted in the replacement of the cameraman M.S.Prabhu . He was replaced by N. K. Ekambaram. From 21-23 February 2010, the shooting was held in The Nilgiris district in Tamil Nadu. On the 21st and the 23rd, the shooting was held in Ooty. On the 22nd, the shooting was held in Gudalur.
