Symphorophilia is a paraphilia in which sexuoerotism hinges on staging and watching a disaster for example fire or road traffic accidents.[1]

In popular culture

  • In Drawn Together, a sub-plot of an episode revolved around Clara's sexual arousal of seeing car crashes.
  • The main characters in the 1996 film Crash, based on the novel of the same title, are symphorophiles.
