Troponin I, cardiac muscle is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TNNI3 gene.[1][2]

Troponin I (TnI) is one of 3 subunits that form the troponin complex of the thin filaments of striated muscle; see also TNNI1 (MIM 191042). The others are troponin T (TnT; see MIM 191041) and troponin C (TnC; see MIM 191040).[supplied by OMIM][3]

TNNI3 has been shown to interact with PKD2L1,[4] Troponin C type 1[5][6][7][8][9] and Polycystic kidney disease 2.[10]
