Tai Kato (加藤泰, Katō Tai ^?, August 24, 1916—June 17, 1985) was a Japanese film director and writer, most famous for making jidaigeki and yakuza films at the Toei Company. He directed films from the 1950s to the 1980s. He was the nephew of the film director Sadao Yamanaka.
