Tajikistan was represented by one man at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.
Andrei Drygin, Tajikistan's lone competitor in Turin, finished last in each of the first two downhill training runs, but had a better result in the race itself, finishing ahead of two other skiers. He also finished 51st in the Super-G and fell on his first run in the giant slalom.[3]
