Take That Society is Saliva's seventh studio album, eighth release, and sixth major-label album. It is set to release in mid to late 2010.

The reality television show, originally pitched as "Hick Parade", has now been revealed to be the bonus DVD on the upcoming album, as "We were filming (the reality show) and decided not to do it because it just wasn't for us," said singer Josey Scott during an interview with The Flint Journal. "It just wasn't our bag. We're going to use it as a promo piece for the next record, a DVD in the next CD."

"Take That Society," Scott said, is coming along nicely. So far, he's written about nine songs and the rest of the band - which also includes guitarist Wayne Swinny, bassist Dave Novotny, drummer Paul Crosby and guitarist Jonathan Montoya - has been writing material as well. He expects to enter the studio at the beginning of 2010.

"I think it's got more of an alternative twist to it," Scott said of the new songs. "It's got an old-school, hip-hop flavor to it, plus an old school AC/DC sort of feel to it."

In a recent interview on RockLine radio, the band stated they were close to finalising a producer for the new album, suggesting a departure from long time friend Bob Marlette, who has produced all but one of their albums during their time at Island Records.
