Taken by Storm (UK Band) are an alternative/experimental/rock band based in the Northwest of England. The band consists of four members;

  • Jack Fawdry - Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocalist
  • Ash Down - Bass/Backing Vocalist
  • Matt Jones - Lead Guitar/Backing Vocalist
  • Chris Jones - Drummer

Taken by Storm formed in 2008, and has changed dramatically since then. Matt Jones was in the band when Taken by Storm started and is still with the band now. Since then the drummer has changed from Liam Meade to Chris Jones, Matt's younger brother. There was also James Carmichael who was the vocalist. James Carmichael left Taken by Storm in late '08. The current bassist is Ash Down.

They are now in the final of the Ellesmere Port "BOTB" and have many other achievements to their name. They play live almost every two weeks steadily building up a fan base of Merseyside, Cheshire and starting to gain fans from the Greater Manchester area.

Taken by Storm are very popular on the music scene in Liverpool, they have played at a number of venues including Barfly (now The Masque), The Picket, O2 Academy (2 and more notably the mainstage when they played Acad Fest on August 15th 2009), and Zanzibar.
