Tangub City is a 3rd class city in the province of Misamis Occidental, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 49,695 people in 9,480 households. It is known as the Christmas Capital of Mindanao for its display of the holiday's famous symbols.

Tangub City is one of the participants of Sinulog Festival, a festival held in Cebu City. The country’s biggest and most anticipated festival is set to take center stage every year. This festival is the pageantry of sights, sounds and colors as it honors and pays homage to the patron saint of Cebu , Sr. Sto. Niño-the child Jesus. The highlights of the festival is from January 9-18, yearly.
