Terrorism in the Philippines are conflicts based on political issues conducted by rebel organizations against the Philippine government, its citizens and supporters. Most terrorism in the country are conducted by Islamic terrorist groups. The most active terrorist groups in the Philippines are the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, Moro National Liberation Front, Abu Sayyaf, Rajah Sulaiman movement and Jemaah Islamiyah. Prior to Islamic terrorist groups, the Philippines were terrorized by communist organizations, most notably the New People's Army.

List of terrorist incidents in the Philippines

2000

  • December 30 - Rizal Day Bombings was a series of explosions that occurred in Manila. The explosions happened in close succession within the span of a few hours. There were twenty two reported fatalities and around hundred suffered fatal injuries.

2002-2003

  • 2002 Zamboanga bombing a was series of bomb explosions.
  • October 17 - a bomb exploded inside a shopping centre killing six and injuring about 150 people.
  • October 18 - a bus exploded in Manila which killed three people and wounding 22 civilians.
  • March 4, 2003 - a bomb exploded in Davao airport, killing 21 people.

2004

  • On February 27 - 2004 SuperFerry 14 bombing resulted in the sinking of a ship and the deaths of 116 people in the Philippines' worst terrorist attack and the world's deadliest terrorist attack at sea.

2006

  • October 10 and October 11 - 2006 Central Mindanao bombings was a series of bombings in Mindanao. Eight people were killed and between 30 and 46 were injured.
