 .The story centres on young skinheads in England in 1983. The film illustrates that skinhead subculture, whose 1960s roots include elements of black culture especially ska, soul and reggae music,[2] became adopted by white nationalists, which led to divisions within the skinhead scene.^ Despite a somewhat rushed ending, the movie does an excellent job not only illustrating how easily hatred can be fostered in the young but chronicling the transformation of skinheads from a reggae-loving nationalistic cult to the military arm of neo-Nazi groups.

Plot

 [9] .The film appeared on several US critics' top ten movie lists of 2007; it was third on the list by Newsweek's David Ansen, seventh on the list by The Oregonian's Marc Mohan, and ninth on the list by Los Angeles Times' Kevin Crust.^ This is a brilliant movie but i have one criticism being on the reciveing end of this in the skinhead years..........the film has one very violent scene in it.........yet i remember an awful lot of fights.

.On 6 January 2010, Meadows said on his website that the project would be called This is England 86.^ England Calling: The Films of Shane Meadows April 23, 2007 .

 He said Milky was alive, Combo would return and that Woody was climbing the management ladder at Kwik Save and about to marry Lol. The scripts are complete and filming is due to begin at the end of March.[19]
