Thomas Knoll is an American software engineer, who was raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and best known (with his brother John Knoll) for initiating the development of Adobe Photoshop.[1] He was the lead developer until version CS4.[2] His current contributions focus on the Camera Raw plug-in.[2]
Knoll's wife Ruth (Née Summers) is the founder of Summers-Knoll School,[3] an independent elementary school in Ann Arbor which follows the general principles of progressive education.
