Timothy John Crommelin Eggar (born 19 December 1951) is a former British Conservative politician.

Eggar is the son of John Eggar and his wife Pamela Crommelin-Brown. His father was a cricketer and schoolmaster at Repton School and Shiplake College.

Eggar was MP for Enfield North from 1979 until he stood down in 1997. He had served as minister for Trade and Industry, Education and Science, and Employment. He was also Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs.

After leaving Parliament he went to work in the energy industry in the United States. He is Chairman of Harrison Lovegrove & Co Ltd, and Indago Petroleum, a non-executive Director of ExproInternational, and Anglo Asian Mining, and an independent member of a wind development investment committee.[1]

He is currently President of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce[2]. He is also a governor of Shiplake College.[3]
