The Tokyo Metro 6000 series (東京地下鉄6000系 Tōkyō Chikatetsu 6000-kei ?) is an EMU which operates on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line in Tokyo, Japan.

First entering service in 1971, the trains have 20 m aluminium 4-door cars, with chopper control and regenerative braking. They are used on the Chiyoda Line, Chiyoda Branchline, Odakyū Odawara Line, and Jōban Line (Local Service).

Fleet

  • 6000: 1st prototype (1968)
  • 6001: 2nd prototype (1969)
  • 6002–6021: 1st–3rd full-production batch type
  • 6022–6035: 4th–7th full-production batch type

Refurbishment

Refurbishment of the fleet started in 1988.
