Tony Maimone is a bass player, producer, and engineer who lives in Brooklyn, New York.

He was a member of Pere Ubu from the mid-1970s to the early 1990's, often playing with drummer Scott Krauss. The duo were dubbed by a critic "one of the great unheralded rhythm sections in all of rock". [1]

Maimone also has worked with Bob Mould, Frank Black, The Mekons, They Might Be Giants, and Jon Langford.

Maimone currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, where owns and operates Studio G, a recording studio with Joel Hamilton. He has produced and/or engineered albums for artists including The Book of Knots, Ani DiFranco, The Dixons and The Shondes, Felili, Destronauts, Laura Brennemen, Will James, Bob Kidney, Lord Ward, Peg Simone, Gachupin, Jon Langford, Cock Lorge, and Steve Northeast.

Tony Maimone plays with Megan Reilly's band, featuring Steve Goulding (The Mekons) on drums and Eric Morrison (Home) on piano. He is also playing with And The Wiremen featuring the music of singer/guitarist Lynn Wright (Bee And Flower, Cordero, James Hall) with Paul Watson (Sparklehorse, Vic Chestnutt, Orthotonics) on cornet and trumpet, Chris Michael on drums and percussion, Eric Eble (Cordero, Reid Paley Trio), Andrew Megginson (Blasco Ballroom) and Tim Ward (Lord Ward, Elevate) on backing vocals and Jon Petrow (Cloudroom, Bee and Flower) on guitar.

Currently he is playing with The Search Engines and Silvertone.
