Various honorifics are used in Klingon names; however these are non-canonical and do not even follow Okrand's orthography (such as the use of a lowercase 'i' which has been corrected for there is no lowercase I in the Klingon language as is evidenced by all editions of the Klingon Dictionary).
Honorifics are granted by house or military unit (such as a fleet). In ascending status:
epetaI is used for the head of a house, which Okrand translates as joH (lord or lady).
