Trent Michael Plaisted (born October 20, 1986 San Antonio, Texas) is an American basketball player, formerly of Brigham Young University. He averaged 15.6 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game in the 2007-2008 season, his junior year at BYU.[1] He entered the NBA Draft and was drafted 46th overall in 2008 by the Seattle SuperSonics, who traded his draft rights, along with the draft rights to Walter Sharpe, to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for the draft rights to D. J. White.[2]

Plaisted signed a one-year contract with the Italian team Angelico Biella.[3] He played in two games in December before suffering what may be a season ending injury, as of February 15, 2009 he has not returned to the squad. In summer 2009. he signed for KK Zadar, a club from Croatia.

He married his wife, Lacey[3], in the summer of 2007.[4]

He is related to star lefthanded pitcher at the University of Georgia, Nick Plaisted.
