USA High is an American teen sitcom which ran from August 1997 to June 1999, ended after 95 episodes, and reran until August 4, 2001 on USA Network. The show revolved around six friends enrolled at the American Academy boarding school in Paris, France. The show was one of several teen sitcoms created by Peter Engel, who was also responsible for the Saved by the Bell franchise, California Dreams, City Guys, and Hang Time.

USA High was originally conceived to be a part of NBC's Saturday morning TNBC line-up.

There is a total of 95 episodes for this series. Season 1 (with 75 episodes and starting in August 1997 and running until November 1998) was composed of five "Series" (episodes were aired on USA Network in different installments), while all of Season 2 (with 20 episodes and starting in November 1998 and running until June 1999) was the sixth and final "Series".

The TNBC connection

This show is notable for including cast members of California Dreams and the original Saved by the Bell series:


  • Former Miss Universe Angela Visser played the role of French teacher, Ms. Dupree.
  • Shannon Elizabeth (American Pie) and Amy Weber (former WWE Diva) have both appeared in guest roles on the show.
  • Executive Producer Peter Engel made the only television appearance of his career during the show's final episode, as Chancellor Engel.
  • Elena Lyons starred in Saved by the Bell: The College Years' first pilot episode as 'Sonya'.
  • The set of USA High was used during the fifth season of Saved by the Bell: The New Class. The storyline involved the characters taking a semester abroad in Paris.
