Ulrike “Uli” Herzner (born 23 April 1971) is a fashion designer originally from East Germany, currently living in Miami Beach, Florida. She was a contestant on the third season of the Bravo network reality television series Project Runway, where she finished runner-up to Jeffrey Sebelia.

Biography

Trained as a physical therapist, Herzner eventually decided that she wanted to enter the world of fashion. She cites designers Kenzo and Roberto Cavalli as her inspirations.

Growing up in East Germany, Uli says she dreamed of coming to the United States long before the fall of the Berlin Wall. Herzner garners her inspiration from the beaches and climate of Miami, as well as from fellow designers Kenzo and Roberto Cavalli. She designed a collection for Olympus Fashion Week, finishing in the runner-up spot. She is now the star of her own show, It's Very Uli on Plum TV.
