The 2002 United States Senate election in Rhode Island took place on November 4, 2002. Jack Reed sought a third term in the Senate. Owing to the heavily Democratic nature of Rhode Island and Reed's popularity, this race was not expected to be competitive. Reed's best performance was in Providence County, where he won with over 80% of the vote.
