The 2002 West Virginia United States Senate election was held on November 5, 2002 to select the U.S. Senator from the state of West Virginia. Democratic Senator Jay Rockefeller decided to run for re-election. Rockefeller defeated the Republican challenger, State Senator and previous senatorial candidate Jay Wolfe in the general election.
