The University of Alberta Debate Society (UADS) is the debate club at the University of Alberta and a member of CUSID. Founded in 1908, the club is the oldest on campus and is also the longest established debating society in Western Canada.

Modern Day

From hosting the CUSID British Parliamentary Championships in 2007 to this season's 2010 CUSID National Championship, the University of Alberta has established itself as a strong force in Western Canada. Recent activity includes winning the 2009 Western Canadian Championships for the 2nd year in a row and claiming the Novice title at the 2009 National Championship. [1]
