The Utah Eagle Forum, the Utah chapter of the Eagle Forum champions conservative principles in the State of Utah. Currently, Gayle Ruzicka serves as its president.

The Utah Eagle Forum lists the following accomplishments:

  • aiding in Pro-Life legislation;
  • preventing passage of "Hate Crimes" legislation;
  • stopping anti-family "Values" and sex education programs in public schools;
  • protecting parental rights;
  • maintaining choice for parents in education, including home schooling;
  • support access for all in health care choices including alternative health care; and
  • promoting preservation of religious liberty.[1]

One example of how the Utah Eagle Forum advocates its causes occurred in September 2009. In an effort to encourage school children to become service oriented, the faculty at Eagle Bay Elementary School in Farmington, UT showed a video that a Utah Eagle Forum press release publicly labeled "leftist," "liberal," and "political." The controversy that surrounded the video caused the school administration to reconsider showing the video at a back-to-school night event.[2] [3]
