WIXV (95.5 FM), known as "I-95 - The Rock of Savannah", is a Mainstream Rock station targeted to Savannah, Georgia. It is owned by Cumulus Broadcasting.


The format is about 70% general classic rock with about 30% newer artists such as REM, Pearl Jam, and the Black Crowes. The current rock format has been on the air since 1986 when they switched from top-40. Before this, 95.5 was WSGF, with a format that could be considered as hot adult contemporary today. Took WIXV calls in 1983. Cumulus took ownership in 1997

In 2005-2006 the night DJ was named "Caveman"[1] and was #1 From that point till present, I-95 has remained the dominant leader in the rock format. I-95 continues to be "The rock of Savannah" with John Boy and Billy, Don Scott, and Jay Sinclair.

In the Fall 2007 Arbitron ratings, WIXV beat Alternative WFXH-FM (Rock 106.1).[2]
