WRCH is a radio station in the Hartford, Connecticut, U.S. area and broadcasts at 100.5 FM. Its transmitter is located on Rattlesnake Mountain with antenna on the WTIC-TV tower, with a backup transmitter in "Radio Park" behind the Connecticut School of Broadcasting (former studio location), with studios and offices located at 10 Executive, Drive all in Farmington, Connecticut. Lite 100.5 WRCH does very well in the Hartford market.[1] Most of the time it comes in number one in the ratings. Other times sister station News/Talk 1080 WTIC comes in number one. The station has held firm to a soft adult contemporary format and has prospered while other local stations experiment with an array of competing formats. The playlist has expanded in recent years: whether playing Journey in morning drive is all that "soft" is matter of opinion. The staff includes a 17 year heritage morning show with Allan Camp, Mike Stacy and Allison Demers. Joan Dylan from 9am till 2pm, Joe Hann in PM Drive and Dean Richards with Pillowtalk love songs, and Delilah overnight. Sunday mornings the station broadcasts the Sunday Morning Smooth Jazz Brunch with Greg Roche which is ranked in double digits. It was said to be one of the markets said to be sold off by CBS, but in the long run CBS is not selling Hartford.
