WRJR is a Christian Talk formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Portsmouth, Virginia, serving Hampton Roads. WRJR is owned by The Walt Disney Company, brokered to Christian broadcaster Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting Corporation.

History

Back in the 1950s this station was Top 40 WHIH, and it is said that future "Today" show weatherman Willard Scott, Robert Smith, later known as "Wolfman Jack", and Joe Hoppel, who later became a fixure for many years at WCMS AM & FM , were all employed there as DJs.

The call letters, WRJR, became available in the early 1980s when Bates College changed its call letters to WRBC.
