Walter Whittaker (born 20 September 1878 - 2 June 1917) was an English footballer. His regular position was as a goalkeeper. He was born in Manchester. He played for several clubs, including Manchester United, Grimsby Town, Reading, Blackburn Rovers, Derby County, Exeter City and Swansea Town.

He was the first manager of Swansea Town (now Swansea City) and spent two years with the club. In his first season with Swansea, he won the Welsh Cup and guided the team to third place in the league.
