Warrior is an upcoming action drama about mixed martial arts set to be released in sometime in 2010 by Lionsgate. The film will star Nick Nolte, Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Morrison. The movie will be directed by Gavin O'Connor and produced by Greg O'Connor.

Plot

A former boxer (Nolte), whose alcoholism tore apart his family, welcomes back his youngest son (Hardy) and trains him to compete in a mixed martial arts tournament – a path that puts the son on a collision course with his older brother (Edgerton).[1]

Filming took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.[2][3]

Mogul Minds Studios, located in Pittsburgh was used during the filming, as well as the University of Pittsburgh's Petersen Events Center and the Twin Hi-Way Drive-In.

Hardy went through a demanding training routine for gaining muscle during the film's pre-production, gaining around 2 stone of muscle and raising his overall weight to 15 stone (205lbs).
