Wendy Bell (born April 4, 1970) is an award winning reporter and anchorperson.

She grew up in Calabasas, California, and graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri with a master's degree and also received a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.

From 1993-1995, Wendy was a reporter for the nationally syndicated program American Journal.

From 1995-1998, Wendy was an anchor and feature reporter for the program Show Me St. Louis on KSDK-TV in St. Louis, Missouri.

Since 1998, Wendy has been at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh. She first started out as the Consumer Watch reporter from 1998-2000. She then started to co-anchor Action News At Noon with Scott Baker from 2000-2004. She then took on additional co-anchor duties on Action News This Morning with Kelly Frey from 2002-2006.

On June 12, 2006, Wendy became co-anchor of Action News at 5 p.m. with Michelle Wright and at 11 p.m. with Mike Clark.

Wendy has been married since 1998 to Dr. Joe O'Toole, an interventional cardiologist. They have five sons: Michael who was born in 2000, Jack who was born in 2001, Ryan who was born in 2005, and twins Christopher and Bobby born in 2008. The twins were born premature, thus causing a strange maternaty leave for Bell.

Wendy has won 6 Emmy Awards, a National Headliner Award and a Edward R. Murrow Award for a story that tested the politeness of everyday Pittsburghers. She transformed her appearance and posed as an 80-year-old woman to see if people would come to the aid of an elderly lady in need. [1]
